A popular and enjoyable way to get to know medieval Kilkenny departing from 16th century Shee Alms House, Kilkenny Tourist Office, the leisurely stroll involves the hero's and villains of the cities chequered past, while you explore the lanes, streets and stories of this remarkable city.
Medieval Walking Tours of Kilkenny recommence Friday 18th March from Kilkenny Tourist Office. From mid-March to October, Walking Tours will operate: Monday to Saturday: 10.30am, 12.15pm and 3.00pm. Sunday: 11.15am and 12.30pm Tours depart from Kilkenny Tourist Office in Rose Inn Street. The Walking Tour includes the following historical sites: Shee Alms House, St. Mary's Monument room, THolsel, Butter Slip, Kytelers Inn(witches house), Market Slip, Courthouse/City Jail, Rothe House(outside), City Wall/City gate, Black Abbey, St. Canice's Cathedral(outside) and St. Mary's Cathedral.
