Inistioge Summer Festival

This year's Inistioge Summer Festival will take place on the weekend of the 5th June.  

The Festival is now entering its third year, having been established in 2009, this year 2011 we are extending and building on the success of the festival and hosting it over two days of the June Bank Holiday weekend.  We are working with the successful and recently formed Nore Valley Athletics Club to stage a Family Fun Run on Saturday 4^th June along with a host of other activities such as 7 a-side football blitz and other family events. The official opening will coincide with the start of the fun run on Saturday the 4^th and we are currently in negotiations with an elite athlete to perform the official opening.

On Sunday 5^th June we offer a myriad of fun and colourful activities that will attract young and old alike. Giant water spheres, replica Viking longboats, fishing cots and canoeists are a taste of the water based activities to be enjoyed. Stilt walkers, juggling, archery, an array of quality arts and crafts and musicians will both delight and entertain the visitors on the day.  Details of the planned events are below.
