The 22nd Annual Rockfall Music Festival takes place in Kilkenny on the October bank holiday weekend (21st to 25th October, 2010. Rockfall started out in 1989 with 9 banks playing in 5 venues.
This year's festival will have over 30 bands playing in Kilkenny top music venues. Ryans, Cleeres, Kytelers, Langtons, Paris Texas, The Pumphouse, Matt the Millers, Annaconda, Rafter Dempseys, Biddy Earlys and more will once again host Kilkennys Top Bands and solo performers. Other performers who have played Rockfall include, John Martyn, Josh Ritter, The Holmes Brothers, Mick Hanly, Philip Donnelly and Loudest Whisper. A special CD is being brought out to celebrate the 21st Festival.
Rockfall is unique in that all performers play FREE OF CHARGE with all profits from the festival going to Enable Ireland at the O'Neill Centre in Kilkenny. To date Rockfall has raised over €300,000 for this charity.

Rockfall has a second purpose in that it has been and remains to be a showcase for young up and coming talent as well as the many fine established bands that Kilkenny has produced over the years.
